Some weekend links for you……

~ I ordered two new vegan cookbooks this week,  here and here. They are both very, very good!

~ Some good ideas for using stinging nettle this spring.

~ This Owl and this moon….. I am in love with her art. For sure.

~ Fairy garden season is here!

~ The overprotected kid. (loved this!)

~ Things to eat : tahini toast and chickpea avocado sandwiches. (Amanda, that last one has your name all over it!)

~ Just for fun, a year ago this week.

Some of you may have seen my post on the gypsyforest facebook page about my friends at  Cubit's being featured in Etsy's Quit your Day Job series. It is so awesome to see a hard working small business be in the spotlight. AND they just bought a 13 acre farm! Congratulations Laura and Ryan. Today is the last day to enter this giveaway for a six pack of their herb seeds too!

Also, I have TWO awesome giveaways planned for you this weekend! So swing back in to enter.

  4. Ooo! Perfect timing. I had an egg customer drop off a box of herbs she didn’t want including dried nettles. 🙂
She later offered a free piano. An upside to small town living–very giving. We’ve been given the most interesting things since living here. At least the nettles are useful!

  5. One, I have that very same globe, with the very same old tape spot where the equator used to be taped on. It was my globe when I was 10 and now my girls love it! Two, can I come sew in that studio? Amazing! I think my projects would be that much better just by virtue of being sewn in there. So lovely.

  6. So funny! I got it on ebay after searching for months at local antique shops. The kids adore it! I sure wish we could hang out in the studio for a day together….. that would be wonderful 🙂 It's always more fun to create with company!

  7. Three machines…… yes. Sophie has my old machine from about 8 years ago. Plus there is a serger and my new machine (well, sort of new. it's about 5 years old) That cookbook is so amazing, right? I love it. We painted the eggs with milk paint and I admit to loving that this might be the last time for many years. (ahem) So many outside things to do makes it too busy to get all decorated for Easter. Simple is good 🙂

  8. How wonderful! I am actually planting a nettle patch soon. We've been working so hard in the garden. Trying to turn forest into garden is so much work…. wow. But we're slowly carving a bit out here and there.
