  1. We think so! They all roost together at night when the temperature dips (inside their little house) and it stays surprisingly warm in there! They've got a nice floor of decomposing straw & litter at their feet in the coop, keeping their feet off of frozen ground and snow. Chickens put on a heavy winter coat….. ours are fluff-balls right now! And we are feeding them a bit of organic cracked corn & barley too. An evening feeding of this keeps their bellies full and keeps them warmer. We don't supplement their light either…… which means they are less likely to lay & more likely to use their energy to stay warm. If it gets really cold, we *might* put up a draft barrier, but our experience is that they'd rather be out in fresh air, plus good ventilation keeps them the healthiest 🙂 They've got it way better than the wild birds in our woods for sure! Though I'm helping them a bit too with sunflower seeds to snack on at our bird feeder~

  2. Very pretty tree location 🙂 happy elving … Not getting to any of mine this year, save for a Nana apron, and a few nature collections. Christmas is on auto pilot ! Was so hoping to get to Edaville … You should take Luke of you can!

  3. Tell me more about Edaville! I'll look it up for sure. As for the tree, it was the only spot it could fit because it's 9 feet tall! Joe let the little ones pick it out 🙂 Good for you taking a year off! It's enough to just enjoy the season with your own little family 🙂
