The shop is full of new lovelies.

New Aprons. New Bags. New multi-hued Silks

A lovely new shade I call furlough blues. And that’s about as political as I’ll get, really. But if you need a good debate, go visit facebook. I mean, wow….

Moving right along though, I also wanted to give you guys a sneak peek of two new silk banners. The chickens got one and our friend Avery woke up to see the moons strung up over his head last week. (his mom took a picture, which made me cry, because I’m a big ol’ softie like that) The phases of the moon has been a dream of mine for months. I made the stamps and hand-stamped the silk squares with soy ink before dyeing them a deep blue. My little kiddos want one for their room too, which means the four remaining will be in the shop by tomorrow, along with a half dozen triangle ones too.

I’m gearing up for TWO art festivals this winter. One in New Hampshire, November 23rd and one in Rhode Island, December 15th. The busy chaos involved in art festivals is still new to me, but gosh it sure is fun to meet people face to face and connect. I’ll have more details as they get closer…. but save the date to visit if you’re in New England! I’d love to see you.

I guess that’s it for today….. but just for fun, tell me what new shop item you love the most up there. Well, you know, other than the feathers. Because seriously, everyone loves the feathers. I’ll be making up more of those soon!

Happy Thursday to you~~~

  1. I’m a potter/instructor in PeaceDale, RI – I just showed with my students at the Festival Fete in Wakefield. It was a great event! Pilar did a fantastic job coordinating it. Looking forward to checking out your booth at the holiday fair! Need a few of your treasure bags for the kiddos!

  2. I love the moon banner! I can see why your kids want one for their room.
I grew up in RI, so get nostalgic when you link to local places – lived basically down the road from where your RI art fair will be. Wish I could go!

  3. Thank you 🙂 The moon banner took a long time for me to figure out a good printing process…. it's a lot of work, but well worth the finished product. We're pretty smitten with it! On another note…. we are totally loving the area. Especially this time of year. We just went apple picking this morning at Old Stone Orchard in Westport……
