spook-tacular!

hello, hello!

I made the two day trek back home to all my lovelies just in time for Halloween. My first day home was filled with last minute costume prep, pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, and hanging out with family visiting us from New York. phew!

I have some bits of my adventure to share with you. But first, a few photos from our Halloween and the costumes that I poured a whole lot of love into this year….

We had an Archer & Pirate this year. Along with a beautiful elusive Gypsy who handed out candy. Our pirate was especially funny as he fully embraced his role. There was a lot of "Argh Matey" sort of talk going on. It was a silly day, for sure.

For those of you who are interested in costume details, both are from Burda. The archer costume was very easy to whip up, but the pirate costume was the most difficult I've ever sewn! The jacket is fully lined and there were some funny parts in the instructions that I just didn't understand. In the end I tossed them & put things together my own way. I am happy with the results and I imagine my stylish little guy will be getting a lot of wear out of that jacket too.

We also had a visit from the Sugar Sprite last night who took a generous portion of the Halloween booty. But of course, she left some for the kids too.

I hope you all had a spook-tacular Halloween as well…. if you have a post or picture to share I would love to see!

  3. Darling photos!! I’m so thrilled to learn about “sugar sprite.” This is the first year we’ve officially done trick or treating with the boys and I couldn’t quite figure out what to do about the candy. We will be having a visit from sugar sprite tomorrow night! I was also stopping by to let you know that “Thirty Days of Giving Thanks” begins today. I know you joined us last year so I just wanted to make sure you knew about it. Big hugs to you, Stephinie.
