I’m really excited about the Alaska themed play-silk sets I just listed in the shop. I had fun experimenting with dyeing techniques to make these multicolored silks. I really love the way they turned out. What do you think?
Each set comes with a sea or salmonberry colored silk, a postcard from a local artist in Cordova, and something found from our beach walks. Shells, sea glass & striped beach stones. These sets would be especially lovely to add to a nature table. They are very limited and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
Also back in the shop you’ll find spindrift quilts, urban garden post card sets, and some fabric bits.
I would love to share one of these very special play-silk sets with you! Color of choice to the winner. See the shop for details. Just leave a comment here to enter. For fun, let me know your favorite Alaska photo from the summer. (there’s a flickr set here!) I’ll draw a winner Wednesday evening. For extra good luck, I would be ever so humble & grateful if you passed along a link to this post or the shop to someone you think might enjoy it.
I’ll be back here for Mindful Monday.
Have a lovely weekend.

“My favorite picture from your set would have to be the one of your husband standing on the porch of the cabin. I put me at awe and made me go to my husband and say we NEED to do something like this. and then I proceed to tell him about your little hike away from everything you did with your husband…someday my husband and I will be able to get away…..nexy year maybe π our twins are currently only 20 months old π Thank you for the inspiration!”
Kelly, I sent you an email for shipping info~
Thank you to all of you for the super sweet comments. Swing back Saturday for another giveaway!

As for a favorite photo, that’s hard. You took so many beautiful ones. But one that really stuck with me was the view from your apartment. I remember thinking how amazing it would be to look out those windows on a daily basis . . . I’m sure it was!
