it looks like we’re standing in front of a back drop…
but we really lived there
really hiked up that mountain
Jade is younger in this picture than Sophie is now
in my mind this was just yesterday
but I blinked
and they grew up….
they do that.
tell me, what is one of your favorite memories with your kids?
Wow, it IS beautiful.
My favorite memory, can’t think of just one. I love the feel of his warm skin on mine. 😉

Thanks Steph for sharing!
One of my favorite memories with Justin and Samantha…it was a hot rainy summer afternoon in North Carolina, both kids were staring out the back door at the trampoline and the pouring rain, it was coming down in buckets. I asked them what was wrong, they said they can’t jump on the trampoline because it’s raining…that’s when I grabbed them by their hands and walked out in the rain and said “why not?” We proceeded to jump and laugh in the hot summer rain…God I Miss My Kids!

❤ I loved taking Ted to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History… he is SO excited. I also loved the camping trips.. Vermont, New Hampshire and best of all Florida Keys – camping is the best!

That is a beautiful family picture!
We never had the opportunity to travel much when the kids were younger. But we tried to take the weekends to go on day trips. My favorite memory was visiting Griffis Sculpture park in Ashford Hollow, NY. There are trails, fields, ponds with huge sculptures. The kids climbed on and in them. There was something magical about it because we were the only people there and it was as if we happened upon this fantasy world. It was surreal and beautiful. We haven’t taken Violet, our 2 year old there yet. But I cannot wait to see her face as she experiences and explores the park.

Camping is the best. Do you guys usually tent or cabin camp? We miss it so much. I always imagine Ted so much like Sam when he was little. A million questions and absorbing everything. I wish we lived closer 🙂

I am sure the little one will LOVE it. It sounds like a wonderful place to visit. We miss free day trips (like hiking)… letting them all run & be free and explore. We're headed to my mom's this summer for 7 weeks and that is what I am looking forward to the most. A trail, a snack and free kids. It's so perfect.
