Taking a Break

Taking a break from this space for a few more days.

Solo parenting has got me hopping!

See you all in a few days when life is a bit more normal around these parts.

  1. I heard about the rig explosion, what a disaster! Have you been to the coast recently? Good luck (for lack of better words) for the single parenting adventure 🙂
P.s. I can’t believe I haven’t taken the pics I promised you of the cowl I knit with the yarn you sent me… I’m terrible.

  2. I have not been to the coast recently. The whole thing is really heartbreaking. Both for the families and the environment. I can’t wait to see the cowl! I’ve got a pattern for one I hope to knit up in the near future….. so pretty 🙂

  3. Whenever I’m totally stressed out, I tell my family I’m taking a break. Of course when my husband gets home. I leave and go watch a movie all by myself. I reserve this technique for when I’ve really had it. But, I usually feel so much better afterward. Good luck. Is he coming home today?
Ps. My really good friend, who has four kids, is moving up to Seattle. Her husband leaves in a few weeks but she will stay here, without her husband for a whole month. I don’t know how she’s going to do it. I feel anxious for her!

  4. Welcome to my world. I know I only have 1 kid and you have 4 and it’s harder with that many more…but man…it really does suck to single parent.
Glad he is home now 🙂

  5. I do not miss the days that he was gone regularly…. sometimes months at a time! I would always tell people “Physically I am single parent, with a nice guy that visits regularly.” lol
